Whole Foods up, Wal-Mart down in customer satisfaction survey
Tue Feb 21, 2012
The difference is that in Canada and Europe the stores are set up so it's easy for the customer to bag their own groceries. That's not the case at all at American big box stores.
Gluten-free diet may be a waste of money for some, new research suggests
Tue Feb 21, 2012
That's actually not true - ask a grandparent or anyone older than, say, 65 about the risk of choking on a peanut. Kids used to "choke to death" on peanuts regularly and so they were regarded as dangerous and not something to let your kid eat unsupervised.
It's 2012, but these major retailers still can't get online right
Tue Jan 3, 2012
This is SO true. It should not take multiple clicks just to narrow down that I would only like to see merchandise sold by the company I'd like to buy from. And Amazon it usually just takes one click on the sidebar - either free shipping or sold by amazon.
Tipping in tough times: Here's what you need to know
Thu Dec 15, 2011
I think it must be regional. Where I live they're well paid city employees and now the process is largely automated. But I'm sure that the situation is quite different depending on where you live.
Fewer refills of the Pill, fewer unplanned pregnancies, says study
Wed Mar 9, 2011
This is great! One more rational, science-based fact for my doctor and insurer to ignore. Birth control shouldn't be tied to annual pap smears but, gosh, mine is and I even had to pony up the co-pay and fee for a second one this year because my doctor messed my first one up. I also had to beg for 3 …
The results of President Obama's 'Mythbusters' challenge
Thu Dec 9, 2010
I thought it was pretty good for an unusual episode. The White House scenes were edited to almost unwachability but, eh, whatever, I'm guessing POTUS only does one take. But, Kids + Science = awesome. Hopefully Discovery puts together a free classroom DVD for teachers to use.
Cats on a plane? Allergy sufferers can't escape
Fri Nov 19, 2010
It's dangerous to tranquilize cats for flights. Most responsible vets won't do it anymore. I've traveled with a cat once because it was unavoidable. He just wouldn't have been able to make the car trip across the country. I was worried about folks around me with allergies and was fully prep …
Pregnancy not covered by most individual health policies
Tue Nov 16, 2010
I'm as liberal as you can get but I really appreciated pregnancy coverage as a rider last time I had to get individual coverage. No coverage was significantly cheaper than a comparable plan with the rider attached. As I am a responsible adult I got the cheaper insurance and made sure I didn't ge …
Nearly 1 in 5 gay men in U.S. cities have HIV
Thu Sep 23, 2010
Oh come on MSNBC. I know this is just a Reuters feed but could you put on a more accurate headline? It's nearly 1 in 5 gay men, bisexual men, and men who have sex with men. A much broader group than just men who identify as gay.
Code that tracks users' browsing prompts lawsuits

but But BUT... that would require people pay attention and lean how to use their computers. And that might be... hard. But in all seriousness, you are a giver. I only have average computer skills and installing a handful of these 6 months or so ago was dead easy.
